EASA Form 1

EASA Form 1 is an authorized release certificate used to document the airworthiness status of aircraft parts.

EASA Form 1 is an authorized release certificate used in the European aviation system to document the release status of an aircraft part, appliance, or component after production or maintenance activity. It identifies the item, the organization releasing it, and the basis on which it is being released.

In aerospace manufacturing and MRO, EASA Form 1 is commonly used as part of airworthiness documentation and part traceability. It may accompany new, repaired, overhauled, or inspected items depending on the applicable approval and release context. The form supports downstream receiving, installation, inventory control, and quality record review by providing structured release information for the specific item.

EASA Form 1 should not be treated as the same thing as a general certificate of conformance, a design approval, or a blanket guarantee of future serviceability. It is a controlled release document tied to the item and the releasing organization’s approved scope. Similar documents exist in other regulatory systems, such as FAA Form 8130-3, but they are not interchangeable without considering the applicable acceptance rules and operational context.
