Cross-training does not equal authorization. Plants usually control unauthorized work through a maintained qualification matrix, MES or traveler enforcement at the operation level, supervisor controls, audit trails, and change-controlled training records. The weak points are stale data, broad roles, overrides, and legacy system gaps.

Aerospace manufacturers can use instruction data to find recurring execution problems, rework drivers, training gaps, and weak points in standard work. The data is useful only when it is traceable, version-controlled, linked to quality and production context, and changed through validation and approval controls.

NCR audits usually require more than a scanned form or typed name. The system needs controlled records, attributable approvals, tamper-evident audit trails, version history, retention controls, and traceable links to disposition, rework, MRB, CAPA or RCCA activity. Exact requirements depend on the customer, standard, and validated process.

Attach objective, traceable evidence that shows what was found, where it was found, what product or process is affected, and why the proposed disposition or corrective action is supportable. The exact package depends on customer flow-downs, QMS procedures, product risk, and how MES, ERP, PLM, and QMS records are controlled.
